To be held in Cluj-Napoca in Romania on Friday, 12 October, CEM18 reflects not only the dynamic work of urologists based in the region but also the closer collaboration achieved in recent years by urologists and their colleagues from related medical disciplines.

Hosted by the Romanian Association of Urology, the day-long meeting will be preceded by a four-hour session of Live Surgery on 11 October. Prof. Ioanel Sinescu (RO) with local organisers Prof. Viorel Jinga and Dr Ioan Coman will open CEM18. EAU Secretary General Prof. Chris Chapple (GB) and EAU Adjunct Secretary-General for Clinical Practice Prof. Jens Sønksen (DK) will also lead the meeting which aims to inform, train and link-up urologists in the region with other specialists from abroad.

A compact Scientific Programme will deliver key updates in several urological issues such as andrology and onco-urology, while poster sessions will cover key topics in major areas ranging. State-of-the-art lectures will tackle controversial questions and clinical dilemmas.

Young urologists and their senior colleagues will share insights on clinical work and best practices, with the Young Urologist Competition highlighting the talent of promising junior urologists. Recognition will be granted to the authors and presenters of the Best Abstract Posters and training.
